How do I increase my defense or attack

There are 2 items that double your defense and attack, respectively. They are the Power Bracelet, found in Area 3, on the scene just before the ruined ship, on the far right side of the weird flower-maze in a treasure box. The Defense Bracelet is found in Area 2. When you release a mole named Monmo and talk to her, she'll follow you. Take her to the mole-hole in the far-left lower corner, and get her right on top of the hole, then talk to her. She'll give you a ribbon. Now find the mole who asks you for "something of Monmo's" and
talk to him with the ribbon equipped. The mole behind him will give you some cool storyline and hand you the Bracelet.

How do I do the "Crab-Walk"

Early in the game, a villager teaches you the "Crab-walk" technique, which is done by holding L or R and walking. Aside from strafing, this also allows you to stick your sword out. This is a useful technique to use against bosses like Metal Mantis in Area 1.

How do I beast the Metal Manis with out the Zantetsu Sword

The Zantetsu sword is not required to beat Metal Manis (the boss to Area 1). Here's a fast way to beat him. First, lure him to either the left or right conveyor belt. Second, crab walk (hold the L or R button) up the middle conveyor belt. He'll follow you and take damage from the sword. Third, before he attacks, run back down the middle conveyor belt and get out of his fireball attack. Just repeat these steps as often as necessary to defeat him.

How do I move to Green Woods in the Emu Version of Soul Blazer

The emulator verion or computer version has a small bug in it. When you beat the Metal Mantis, the green tile appears and you step on it an nothing happens. The Game is not broke...but you will hate me for the way that you have to fix it. You must reset the game...and beat him again.

What do I have to do so that I can see in Green Woods

After you get the bug fixed from Grass Valley you think cool...until you get to the next town. It is all black and you just see clouds moving. This is only a bug in the emulator version. Just press "1" on the keyboard and the clouds dissappear. The bug is because the computer dont know how to do transparent layers.

Guess Who?

After you free all the members of the Woodstin-Trio in the Green Wood Village, talk to the trio's leader, Billy. They will perform a magic show and then a guessing game, where you must guess which one is really Billy. He always goes to the same spot, he goes to the right. If you guess correctly, you'll receive a Medical Herb.

Where do I find the Psycho Sword

Somewhere in the Water Shrine, seeds are found after one of the monster lairs are destroyed. When you find them, take the seeds to the Exchanger Squirrel and you'll receive the Psycho Sword!

What do I do with sleeping characters

Every time you see anything or anyone sleeping (Zzzzzz....), place the Dream Rod on them to look into their dream.

Where Can I build EXP quickly

1 - Greenwood - Outside Water Shrine

Leave the top exit of the Water Shrine. There will be a Lair above you. Kill EXACTLY 5 monsters from the lair, then return into the Shrine. Leave again, and repeat.

2 - Greenwood - Fire Shrine Basement - MUST HAVE ZANTETSU SWORD

Go to basement with little metal scorpions inside a maze. Go down, go right, kill scorpion. Go up, left, kill it. Go right, up through the diagonal path, up thru straight path, kill it. Go down, kill it. Go down, right, kill it. Go right, up stairs, down again. Repeat.

3 - World of Evil - Near Deathtol's Palace

You can get a lot of XPs in the World of Evil by going to the transporter field that connects the next-to-last and last parts of it, equipping the Soul Armor, Soul Blade, and Phoenix magic, and going back and forth between the two sections, killing the three rotating metal walls on the last part, then entering the red transporter square to return to the previous section, re-entering it to return to the final section, and killing the metal walls over again. Repeat as desired -- they're worth 4000 xps each.

Where to find the eight Master's Emblems

A: In the Grass Valley Highlands, climb the ivy in the lower right corner after you've cleared Leo's Painting.
B: Go to Magridd Castle, second basement area, and use the Soul of Reality.
C: Go back to the Exchanger Squirrel in Greenwood after you finish up at Light Shrine: the Squirrel in the top right corner has what you want.
D: Listen in on the Dolphin's dream to learn where to find the Secret Cave. Go there, empty a lair, and a quartet of chest's will appear. Look in the top left chest.
E: When you're finished at Underground Lake Lune, go to the Soul of the Mountain House, walk over to the torch and through the wall to it's left, and chat with the Snail.
F: In the Soul of the Mountain House, use the Dream Rod on the captive Snail: this will reveal a passage to the emblem in Underground Lake Lune.
G: On the first floor of Dr. Leo's Laboratory, use the Door Key on the locked door. Move the dresser to the left.
H: Finish up at the Corridor to the Dock, go to the grassy spot in front of Magridd Castle, and go behind the trio of wooden pillars.

Where do I find the Magic Bell

Once you have all the master's emblems, go back to area two and talk to the deer by a tree on the left. The deer will ram the tree, and a fairy crystal will fall out. (One of those blue gems where you leave dungeons.)  She'll want you to bring her the emblems. when you have them, she'll give you something like the bell of magic, or something like that, some kind of bell, and if you equip it as an item, it'll get rid of all gem consumption.

Location of the three Red-Hot items for summoning the Phoenix

Red-Hot Ball: In Area 7 (the Evil World), it's inside a treasure chest. You can only reach the treasure chest via the transport squares -- when you've gone far enough to see the chest in question, the transport square will appear, and you'll be able to get to it from the temple screen.
Red-Hot Mirror: When you go back to Area 2 with the SPIRIT Sword and kill all the floating yellow balls in the Light Temple, you'll free a bird, who will appear to the west of the restaurant. (You'll free more than one bird.) When you talk to him, he'll give you the Mirror.
Red-Hot Stick: When you go back to Area 3 with the ZANTETSU Sword and kill the metal gorillas on Dorean (the volcanic island), you'll free a Mermaid. Go back and talk to her, and she'll give you the Stick.

Is there a sequel to Soul Blazer?

From variouse sources, they all tend to point to yes.  Illusion of Gaia is supposed to be the sequel.  Its a great game so go and play it!
